Local prof gets Lifetime award for HIV research

Dr Gita Ramjee, University of Kwa-Zulu Natal (UKZN) alumnus and head of Aids Research at the South African Medical Research Council (MRC), has received the Lifetime Achievement award at the 2012 International Microbicide conference in Sydney, Australia. The award was presented to Ramjee and Dr Lut Van Damme from FHI 360 in North Carolina, US
Ramjee said she was honoured to receive the award and recognition.
