Departments meet to fight nyaope use

The Gauteng government is meeting to discuss how to fight the nyaope plague. The drug has not been classified as illegal.

The summit between the departments of Health, Community Safety and Education, began yesterday and continues today.

Nyaope is a cocktail of anti-retroviral drugs, dagga and rat poison, and is laced with heroin, although the combination of these is often altered.
